The solid wast recycing, in each year, getting more notoriety in the Brasilian people daily, it getting greater awareness about its importance to the environment, because of that, new business opportunities have been emerging, such as recycling Center, researches to develop equipment and a new specialized industrial manufacturing of work tools. Respectively new Jobs are generated from the lower social classes to the highest ones. This research, presents a socioeconomic viability of a solid waste sorting plant in the Maringá city in Paraná, with a capacity to process up to 400 tons/day of waste in a ten hours shift, taking into consideration current tecnologies used in the business, it coasts, it revenues, and also, all necessary infrastructure for the Job’s development, loans and market to drain the production.
Maringa city was chosen to be studied because of the great discussion of Public Power and local society, because of local viability, and also, the viability of city bears a sorting Center, for the reason of Maringa has difficulties of sending the urban solid waste to the right place. To understanding the currance situation of the city were elaborated questionnaries for city hall, the cooperatives of pickers and local companies. It was necessary identify the companies that make equipment and machines to the sector to measure the coasts of criation of sorting Center.
The reseach proved that implantation is viable financially and socially, na also, there is, in the area, the great market to absorb the recycles materials.
