In compliance with Lactec’s professional master’s regulations, students have 12 to 24 months to complete the course, and, at the end of this period, they must present their work at the end of the course.
The candidate for the title of Master shall, 30 days before the date set for the dissertation presentation, take a qualification examination. Its purpose is to evaluate if the dissertation is compatible with the intended title and if it is in condition to be presented. To do so, the student must fill out, collect the necessary signatures, and submit the Qualification Request Form to the academic office [download below].
If the student does not complete his activities within 24 months, he may request an extension of the course up to 6 (six) months, provided that he passes the qualification of his dissertation within the regular term of the course (24 months). The request for an extension must be made by the student and his teacher advisor, stating what has been done and what remains to be done regarding the dissertation project, as well as its planning and schedule to accomplish the missing activities for its conclusion.
